Vegas Coleman, MD

image001Vegas Coleman, MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Michigan State University and the Associate Director of the Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services/MSU psychiatry general residency program. He received his undergraduate degree in New York (SUNY Plattsburgh), attended medical school in Seattle (University of Washington) and completed residency and fellowship in Indianapolis (Indiana University). Although double boarded in adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Coleman primarily attends to the latter in his work on the C&A unit at Pine Rest. He enjoys teaching medical students, residents and other learners the passion and amazing impact of psychiatry. He has a particular interest in the integration of faith and psychiatry. An avid short-distance runner who is new to the sport of biking, he completed his first 50 mile ride and his first duathalon last fall.
